Greetings Chamber Members and Friends:
There is no denying that this past year has been one filled with much uncertainty and change. Thankfully, it has also been a time of pivots, reinvention, and silver linings. During it all, we as a Chamber have worked hard to support, advocate, and inform our members and the community in the ever-changing COVID-19 environment. That said, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the 2021 Community Profile and Membership Directory and thank those who have, even in these difficult times, seen the value of this publication and supported it with their advertising dollars. I encourage you to remember them as you seek goods and services.
Our directory includes demographic information, charts, graphs, and other valuable information to assist area businesses and organizations in their marketing efforts. This publication showcases our members and the best of Juniata River Valley with beautiful photography and editorial content, which illustrates the benefits of visiting, living in, and doing business in Mifflin and Juniata Counties. Whether looking for shopping or dining suggestions, searching for information on the housing market, health care services or relocating a business, this directory includes it all.
This directory has a large distribution, in addition to being mailed to our entire membership, it is available to hotels, bed and breakfasts, banks, Realtors, our local healthcare systems and many other businesses throughout the area. Additional copies are available free of charge at our office in the Historic Courthouse on West Market Street in Lewistown. An online edition is also accessible through the Chamber’s website at www.juniatarivervalley.org, which includes direct links to advertisers’ websites, and is compatible with smartphones and tablets.
Our Chamber of Commerce has a history that stretches back over 100 years, but we continue to find new ways to be of service to the community, as seen during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are a resilient people, and I am confident that we will continue to see the Juniata River Valley grow and prosper.
We hope you will use this publication frequently to find fellow Chamber members as you seek local sources for your personal or professional needs. A complete listing of members can be found in the directory, listed alphabetically as well as by category. When you seek to shop local, you benefit your entire community.
We are proud to call the Juniata River Valley home, and believe it is a wonderful place to conduct business, attract visitors, work, live, and play. Please do not hesitate to contact the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce at 717-248-6713 if we may be of assistance. We look forward to helping you “Get Connected.”
Sincerely,
Rhonda S. Moore
Executive Director
